PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Distribution of Digital Television Signals from Digital Satellite Transmissions, QAM CATV systems, MPEG2 Transport Streams, or ATSC/VSB Broadcast Stations. 

A versatile line of digital headend products for the reception and redistribution of digital television signals for cable television and private cable headends. Featuring a flexible modular approach, this product line offers the ability to QAM modulate digital signals onto a cable system using MPEG2 transport streams, QPSK satellite signals, QAM CATV signals, or off-air ATSC/VSB transmissions. Off-air to cable ATSC/VSB to ATSC/VSB can also be accommodated.

Profressional quality, modular, digital headend component designed to provide optimum performance with minimized rack space requirements.  This model accepts an MPEG-2 transport stream (with or without scrambling), adds the desired Forward Error Correct (FEC), and outputs an IF signal at 44 MHz modulated by the input data stream using Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM).  The modulation method selected can be 16 QAM, 32 QAM, 64 QAM, 128 QAM or 256 QAM.  This IF signal would normally be input to a Drake Digital upconverter to translate it to the desired operating channel frequency.
